Quick Notes: Chuck- Chucks Progression

Quick Notes: Chuck - Chucks Character Progression

One of the things I appreciate about Chuck is they manage to stay away, for the most part, from the cheesy easy outs and cheap shots. Apart from Jeff and Lester. The characters grow and develope in realistic, believable and most importantly to me, in sensible ways. These are people you would love to know, to have as friends and neighbours. Their not the crazies who have screaming matches on their front lawn in the middle of the night with their drunken buddies.

Chuck has grown from a self conscious, nervous, geek with no self esteem, over the course of the past 4 seasons, into a mature, intelligent, capable man who's able to think fast on his feet. He might still have the odd moment of panic and tends to babble alot when he gets nervous, but he's come a long way from the uncomfortable, self conscious nerd we first met.
His relationship with Sarah is lovely. The way the move and fight together, is usually a thing of beauty. The envy Chuck first had when he saw how well Bryce and Sarah once fought together, would disappear in a blaze if he could only see how he and she now move and fight as one. They still are semi terrible communicators, Chuck stammers and over thinks things, while Sarah still wants to either avoid things that make her uncomfortable, or kick them in the teeth. But they always manage to work things out, with a little help from their friends and family. Chuck has grown into a seasoned agent, while still holding onto that personal integrity and ability to think well of other people. He can still find so much delight in new experiences and never lets the realities of his career harden him, or make him jaded and cynical. He's become who he wants to be, and is not only comfortable, but happy with that person.

Hes not just a spy," for God, Country and Honour" but a person who does what he does in order to help people, to protect people and most importantly to make the world a better place.
His faith in his friends and family and in other people is at times mocked at a weakness, until its realised that it is in fact one of his strongest points. His faith is rewarded, people don't want to fail him and inevitably they reward that faith with becoming better people.

His skills as a spy seem to be slowly integrating more and more with his core abilities. He no longer needs the Intersect just to throw a decent punch, and he's capable of working quite efficiently without it. To the point that now *with* the Intersect it just makes him that much more formidable.
